ROOFING & RESTORATION

The Right Solution Isn’t Always a New Roof.

A roofing problem doesn’t automatically mean the entire roof needs to be replaced.

Gallatin Construction provides commercial roofing, roof restoration, metal roofing, repairs, and select residential roofing throughout Oklahoma.

We begin by looking at the existing roof, understanding the problem, and determining what approach makes sense for the building—whether that’s targeted repair, restoration, or complete replacement.

Commercial Roof Restoration

When the existing roofing system remains serviceable, restoration may extend its useful life without the cost and disruption of complete replacement.

WHAT DOES YOUR ROOF ACTUALLY NEED?

Commercial Roof Replacement

When deterioration, moisture, damage, or existing conditions make restoration impractical, replacement may be the appropriate long-term solution.

Metal Roofing

Installation, replacement, repair, and restoration of metal roofing systems for commercial, residential, and agricultural buildings.

Roof Repair

Not every leak requires a new roofing system. When practical, targeted repairs can address isolated problems and preserve the remaining service life of the roof.

Residential Replacement

Gallatin provides select residential roof replacement and repair within our local service area, including architectural shingles and metal roofing.

THREE POSSIBLE PATHS

Repair

When the roofing system remains generally serviceable and the problem is localized, targeted repairs may be the most practical solution.

REPAIR. RESTORE. REPLACE.

Start With the Roof You Have.

Roofing becomes expensive when the solution is determined before the problem is fully understood.

An aging roof may still have years of useful service remaining. A leaking roof may have an isolated failure rather than a failed roofing system. A roof that appears suitable for restoration may have underlying conditions that make coating a poor investment.

That’s why we prefer to evaluate the existing roof before deciding what should happen next.

The objective is to solve the roofing problem without selling more roof than the building needs.

Restore

When the existing roof is a suitable candidate, restoration can address vulnerable areas and provide a new protective surface while extending the useful life of the existing roof.

Replace

When the existing system has reached the end of its useful life—or underlying conditions make repair or restoration impractical—replacement provides a new long-term roofing system.

SILICONE ROOF RESTORATION

Extend the Life of a Qualifying Commercial Roof.

For the right commercial roof, silicone restoration can provide an alternative to complete replacement.

The process involves preparing the existing roof, completing necessary repairs and detailing critical areas before installing a continuous silicone membrane over the qualifying roof surface.

For building owners, restoration can provide a practical way to extend roof life and reduce the need for tear-off when the existing system remains suitable.

WHEN RESTORATION DOESN’T MAKE SENSE

Not Every Roof Should Be Coated.

Significant trapped moisture, deteriorated substrates, widespread decking problems, incompatible materials, or other existing conditions can make restoration a poor investment.

Those conditions need to be understood before a restoration system is recommended.

Sometimes the right answer is restoration. Sometimes it’s replacement. Sometimes it’s simply a repair.

Project Spotlight

54,000 SF Commercial Roof Restoration

Multifamily Property — Oklahoma City, OK

An aging commercial roofing system needed additional protection, but complete replacement wasn’t automatically assumed to be the best solution.

After evaluating the existing conditions, a silicone restoration system was selected for approximately 54,000 square feet of roofing.

The project included preparation of the existing roof, repairs and detailing of critical areas, and installation of the final silicone restoration membrane.

Approximately $450,000 saved restoring rather than replacing!

ROOFING AS PART OF A LARGER PROJECT

Sometimes the Roof Is Only One Piece.

Because Gallatin operates as a general contractor rather than solely as a roofing contractor, roofing can also be incorporated into larger construction projects involving additions, exterior rehabilitation, structural modifications, siding, façades, or other building-envelope work.

That allows the roof to be considered as part of the building rather than as an isolated trade.
